I don’t know if it is something from the weather and the season or it is something else, but Samsung and Sony Ericsson are preparing updates for one of their devices.

The first update is for Samsung Galaxy I7500 – the former Android-powered top model of the brand. Samsung has released an update to Android 1.6 Donut and it can be downloaded freely. This update is more like “oh we forgot about this device, let’s release something for it” because to be honest, an update from Android 1.5 to 1.6 is not a big thing. It’s true that it is still something but probably many of you expected something more – like 2.1 for example. If you want to be up to date with the latest OS versions and trends maybe it is time for an upgrade to another Galaxy.

The other device which will receive a software update is Sony Ericsson’s flagman – Xperia X10. Soon after it was presented to the US market, SE UK has announced in their official Twitter account that they will release an update to Android 2.1 before the end of September this year. It’s a long awaited update by X10 users and many of them will be happy with the new features that Android 2.1 provides, especially on such a nice piece of hardware. The only unclear thing is that it is not announced if the update will be available only for the UK citizens at first or it will be released worldwide for everyone using X10. Tomorrow is the first day of September so everything will clear out in less than a month.
