HTC Desire Z

Announced September 2010, the Desire Z from HTC is said to be the next step forward from the G1. It is based on the HTC Desire, sharing most of the hardware specs, although it only has a 800MHz processor as apposed to the 1GHz in the Desire. But let this not diswade you for the Desire Z is no slouch and handles Android 2.2 (Froyo) with the new version of Sense without a hiccup.

In the USA the Desire Z is known as the T-Mobile G2, hence the upgrade from the T-Mobile G1. It too has a full QWERTY keyboard thats spacious and comfortable to use. It could be classed as a slider, but the keyboard flips out dropping into place, a clever design and the reason for the name Z. When closed the screen feels that bit loose, but overall the phone feels sturdy and well designed.
