HTC Desire HD

During production the HTC Desire HD was codenamed the HTC Ace, it launched in September 2010 with it becoming available about a month later in October 2010. At first glance the Desire HD is an impressive bit of kit, the big body holds a 4.3 inch screen comparable to the HTC Evo 4G. It also has the highly efficient 1 GHz Scorpion processor, HTC claim longer standby and talk time than the Desire even with a lower capacity battery, although in real life some users have found phone to be quite demanding on power. The body is aluminium with two plastic covers for removing the sim card and battery.

HTC Sense has also been upgraded for the Desire HD, the extended version now has greater integration with online features such as remote backups of contacts, messages and call history. The smartphone can also be remotely locked or wiped from HTCSense.com. Significant upgrades to the phone boot times have been made reducing times from 40 seconds on the Desire to only 5 seconds on the Desire HD.
