HTC Aria

The HTC Aria was released in late June 2010 through AT&T in the United States. The smartphone is a midrange device released running Android 2.1 (Eclair) this is now updated to Froyo 2.2. The Aria is compact with a 3.2 inch screen and a resolution of 320 x 480. It has an optical trackpad/joystick rather then the older trackball and a capacitive touchscreen.

As the Aria is a midrange phone it has a 600 MHz processor, which is surprisingly nippy. A downfall of hte phone is it's smaller screen although great for battery life it hampers the screen when using the onscreen keyboard. Another disadvantage to the phone is AT&T's restricting it downloading android market only apps. No third party apps can be used on the phone due to security issues, although some hacks have been found to overcome the problem.
